Taemin – Veil [Single]

Taemin, the maknae (youngest member) of the k-pop group SHINee released his new digital single “Veil” yesterday and I couldn’t wait to listen to it and hear what new we’ve got from him.

Taemin is not only part of a group, he is refined solo musicians as well, with all of his releases being hits not only in South Korea, but all over the world. His voice is trademark on its own and you can’t go wrong with whatever comes from him. This is the case with this release as well.

The single includes 3 tracks – the title track “Veil” is available in Korean, as well as in Japanese, and the second track “FINALE” is in Korean only.

“Veil” as the title track is the title track we can expect from him – good rhythm and his signature expression, but also has that bit faster part that for that moment change the whole direction of the melody. This does not work everywhere, but here it gives some more somehow spicy vibes to the song. I love it that it is very well mixed – you can listen to multiple elements of this song that can be easily dispersed and used for multiple songs, and feel it as a whole. This is how the good songs work.

“FINALE” on the other side is the sweet sister to “Veil”, fully encompassing the Taemin style. I love the piano intro and the steady rhythm. It feels calming and it surely brings that finale feeling, that something is coming to an end. I simply love it and will be listening to it a lot in the furure.

I really think that his releases are bringing joy, but also this feeling of accomplishment. I would always recommend.
